I am qualified in Spinning, Resistance band work, Fitball, Circuits, Exercise to music, Boxercise and Ante and Post Natal Exercise.

INITIAL CONSULTATION: The first part of our journey together is the initial consultation, (this is free). At this appointment, we will have an in-depth chat about what you are hoping to achieve from your training sessions and the time frame you are wanting do it in. You will need to fill in a health questionnaire and an informed consent to exercise form, before you can begin exercising. I will also take your blood pressure, height, weight and body fat readings. Then we will also set a date for the first training session. This could take place at your home, my home or even the park. If you are looking to spread the cost, it is possible to train in a small group (venue depending).

Your exercise programme will be defined by your goals, ie whether you are looking to lose weight, training for a specific event or to improve a health condition. The programme will use a combination of:

CARDIOVASCULAR EXERCISE: This may be walking, cycling or jogging/running all of which will work big muscle groups, burn calories and greatly improve the function of the heart and lungs.

RESISTANCE TRAINING: Will help build lean muscle tissue, hence speed up your metabolism and improve strength. Sport specific work can be done to help improve your performance in your particular sport. Resistance training will involve the use of kettlebells, resistance bands, weighted balls, dumbbells and the fitball.

BOXERCISE: Is a punch based form of exercise. It is a fantastic upper body workout, an amazing stress buster and gives a cardiovascular workout as well.

CORE STABILITY WORK: We will work to improve the strength of the core muscles. Having a strong core will enable you to go about daily activities or sports specific ones, knowing your back is supported. This inner strength will help to reduce the risk of developing future back problems.

NUTRITION: To achieve your goals it is important to follow a well structured nutritional plan as well as following an exercise program. I can set this out for you so you know what you have to do.

ANTE & POST NATAL EXERCISE: Following an exercise program before, during and after pregnancy will help you regain your shape more quickly after the birth of your baby. It is safe to exercise moderately at this time and even your baby will feel the benefits when in the womb. A leaner pregnancy can also lead to a leaner baby/child.
